In this inaugural IOMed Global Series, Mr. Paul Lam SC and Mr. Rimsky Yuen SC, as Secretaries for Justice of the Hong Kong SAR at the relevant times, will share untold stories and background to the development of policies and legislations promulgated in support of mediation over the years, including the support to the establishment of IOMed. Hong Kong SAR has taken a journey that demonstrates how mediation, with dialogue as one of its core attributes, can provide a viable and realistic alternative to peaceful settlement of disputes, contributing to peace and prosperity in this challenging world.
What is IOMed Global Series?
The IOMed Global Series is a platform for communication and information sharing on international law and dispute resolution with a view to promoting the use of mediation. The Global Series may be conducted in various formats, such as lectures, round-table discussions, and fireside chats, etc. IOMed will invite internationally recognized experts, scholars, government officials, practitioners and other distinguished guests to share their knowledge, experience and vision.
