On 27 August 2026, IOMed Secretary-General Prof. Teresa Cheng met with Deputy Attorney General for Civil and Administrative Affairs Prof. (H.C.) Dr. Narendra Jatna during her visit to Indonesia.
The two sides exchanged views on issues of mutual interest. Prof. Cheng introduced to the Deputy Attorney General the objective of IOMed as a global public good to promote mediation for peace and prosperity, and how its mediation services can be utilized. Prof. (H.C.) Dr. Narendra Jatna explained the role of the Attorney General’s Office of Indonesia in mediation-related affairs, and expressed support for ratification of the IOMed Convention by Indonesia.
Recognizing IOMed’s mandate to promote cooperation on capacity building, the two sides also discussed ways to strengthen sharing of experience and best practices.
