On 28 August 2026, IOMed Secretary-General Prof. Teresa Cheng met with Minister of Law of Indonesia H.E. Supratman Andi Agtas during her visit to Jakarta.
Prof. Cheng briefed the Minister on the work and initiatives of IOMed. She commended Indonesia’s constructive contribution to the establishment of IOMed as one of the 19 initiating countries, and expressed hope to see early ratification of the IOMed Convention by Indonesia.
Minister Supratman Andi Agtas welcomed cooperation between Indonesia and IOMed, and noted that the values of mediation, as a means for amicable dispute resolution, are in line with the culture of Indonesia and its policy to foster friendship across the world.
The two sides also discussed other issues of mutual interest.
