On the afternoon of 27 October 2026, IOMed received a delegation of senior officials from Belt and Road (B&R) countries at its headquarters in Hong Kong.
The visit formed part of the side events of Eco Expo Asia (EEA) (21st Edition). The theme of EEA is “Connecting the World for a Sustainable Future.” The delegation comprised senior officials from B&R countries joining the EEA in Hong Kong, including representatives at vice-ministerial level.
Deputy Secretary-General Dr. Sun Jin received the delegation and had an in-depth exchange of views with the delegation, introducing IOMed’s background, history, mission, vision, scope of services, mediation facilities available, costs required and latest achievements. Dr. Sun also shared his views on how mediation may play a role in addressing climate change-related issues in the settlement of international disputes. The delegation also conducted a site visit to IOMed’s mediation facilities.
