Before the signing ceremony at the IOMed headquarters, Secretary-General Prof. Teresa Cheng had an in-depth exchange of views with the visiting IAC delegation, elaborating on the mission and vision of IOMed and its latest achievements. Both sides recognized the complementarity between the initiatives of IOMed and the IAC, and the importance of peaceful settlement of international disputes through mediation.

The InterAction Council was established in 1983 as an independent international organization to mobilize the experience, energy and international contacts of a group of statesmen who have held the highest office in their own countries. Council members jointly develop recommendations and practical solutions for the political, economic and social problems confronting humanity.
