IOMed Hosts Inaugural Session of “Dialogue with Mediators”

On September 28, the International Organization for Mediation (IOMed) held a dialogue at its headquarters with 19 mediators designated by the Chinese Government to the IOMed Panels of Mediators. Secretary-General Prof. Teresa Cheng and the mediators engaged in in-depth discussions on how to fully leverage the role of mediators and boost the development of IOMed, including the implementation of the Code of Conduct for Mediators.

The event also featured Mr. Ricky Yau Shu-chun, Deputy Commissioner and Head of Operations of the Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, who introduced Hong Kong’s anti-corruption experience and shared his insights on practical issues related to the Code of Conduct for Mediators.

“Dialogue with Mediators” is a new initiative launched by IOMed, and this dialogue with the mediators designated by the Chinese Government marks its inaugural event. In the future, IOMed will continue to engage in meaningful exchanges with mediators from different jurisdictions in various ways.
