China
In accordance with Article 25 and 29 of the Convention, the People’s Republic of China will not submit its disputes arising under the World Trade Organization to the International Organization for Mediation.
In accordance with the Basic Law of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the PRC and the Basic Law of the Macao Special Administrative Region of the PRC, the Government of the PRC decides that the Convention applies to the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and the Macao Special Administrative Region of the PRC. Venezuela
Disputes related to the vital interests of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, such as independence, territorial sovereignty, maritime delimitation, maritime interests or other issues concerning the territory and free exercise of sovereignty of the Republic, are excluded from the mediation services provided by the International Organization for Mediation. Myanmar
Pursuant to Article 29, the Republic of the Union of Myanmar hereby declares that the mediation service under the Convention shall not be applicable to matters that it considers inappropriate for such process, including, but not limited to, issues relating to territorial sovereignty between States, delimitation of maritime boundaries, maritime entitlements, or any matters that require intergovernmental negotiations and agreement, in accordance with the Article 29.
The Republic of the Union of Myanmar declares that the application of this Convention shall be in conformity with its domestic laws and regulations.

The IOMed will negotiate a host country agreement with the Government of the People’s Republic of China in conformity with Chapter X Privileges and Immunities of the IOMed Convention in due course.
