On 10 December 2025, IOMed Secretary-General Prof. Teresa CHENG Yeuk-wah attended the 6th Symposium on Global Maritime Cooperation and Ocean Governance in Sanya, China, and delivered a speech at the opening ceremony on behalf of IOMed.
In her speech, Secretary-General Prof. CHENG introduced the establishment of IOMed and its vision and mission. She highlighted how IOMed bridges impasse and opportunities through mediation and serves to promote international maritime cooperation and enhance global ocean governance.
