On 8 December 2026, the International Organization for Mediation (IOMed) will host the inaugural edition of its signature event IOMed Forum under the theme “Mediation for Peace and Prosperity — The New Frontier” in Hong Kong, China.
Peace is the foundation of prosperity, and prosperity in turn helps realize sustainable peace. This inaugural IOMed Forum will bring together government officials, business leaders, esteemed mediators, legal professionals and scholars from around the world. Through insights of esteemed speakers and two distinguished panels, the Forum will explore how mediation, a time-honored yet underused means of dispute resolution, can bring about peace and prosperity in a challenging global context, and how IOMed, as the first intergovernmental legal organization dedicated to mediation, can boost the development of a global mediation ecosystem in which mediation is not an afterthought but a natural choice.
